At the CrossFit Trainers Summit held at CrossFit Charlotte, members of HQ’s training staff gathered to collaborate and work out. In Part 1, hear the trainers’ stories, including why they became coaches and what they like best about teaching CrossFit Level 1 Seminars.
“The quality of people that I found in CrossFit was just way better than anything else that I found,” says Justin Bergh (CrossFit Southside). “The best people that I saw were the people that I met at (seminars), and I just wanted to be with those guys more and kind of willed myself into those circles.”
Says Karianne Dickson (CrossFit Morristown): “I feel like being a trainer for CrossFit is really the ultimate opportunity to really reach people and make a difference in people’s lives who really have that opportunity to go out and are going to be touching other people’s lives.”
“This is what I enjoy and what I’m passionate about,” says Dennis Marshall (Institute 3E).
In Part 2, the trainers perform a team workout. Says Dave Castro, Director of Training: “We don’t do silly stuff too often, so this going to be kind of silly and involved.”
The challenges include rope climbs, wall-balls, buddy carries, deadlift holds, kettlebell swings, hurdles, sled pulls, prowler pushes and running.
