?I?m Prepared?

Ronica Jeffrey is a professional boxer who CrossFits at CrossFit NYC. Join reporter Jennifer Hunter as she shares Jeffrey’s story.

Jeffrey has won the Golden Gloves three times over her six-year career. Since turning pro in 2008, her record is 6-0. She says CrossFit helps her mentally prepare for the ring and brings an intensity she loves.

“I feel stronger,” she says. “It’s something that helps you push yourself to the limit.”

With both boxing and CrossFit, Jeffrey says, “There’s always room for improvement and learning.” She says she enjoys the different challenges each brings to her life and how they complement each other to help her reach her goals.

Jeffrey says she’s excited to be a part of the growing movement of women’s boxing.

“I’ve actually seen it growing. … More people pay attention to it, and at each event, anytime there’s a woman boxing, it is always the highlight of the night because the women just bring the heat; they bring the fire,” she says.
