Mike Marra will be sidelined for the next 2-4 weeks with a sprained ankle, according to a release from the University of Louisville. The Cardinals guard suffered the injury in practice Tuesday. The sharp-shooter from Rhode Island has been streaky at best for the Cards this year, averaging just over nine points a game. His season high came against South Alabama when he scored 24 points. He has been mired in a shooting slump, though, making only three of his last 22 3-point attempts.
Marra has started nine games this season, offering a scoring threat from the wing. Louisville travels to Western Kentucky Wednesday night, where they will also be without guard Elisha Justice. He is out with a concussion.
Marra will probably be replaced in the lineup by freshman Chris Smith, who broke out with 17 points against UNLV.
