Devoe Joseph to Transfer to Oregon

Devoe Joseph has decided to transfer to Oregon. Joseph announced that he was transferring from Minnesota last week.

The junior guard informed the Minneapolis Star Tribune via text message that he was planning on going to Oregon. The newspaper reported that he was not available for an interview Sunday night.

According to his AAU coach Ro Russell, Joseph was drawn to the Ducks due to Dana Altman's fast paced offense. Altman, the former head coach at Creighton, is 7-9 in his first year in Eugene.

Russell said that Charlotte, West Virginia, and Baylor also expressed interest in Joseph.

In eight games for the Gophers, Joseph averaged 11.3 points and 3.5 assists per game.
